Campsite by Hjarbæk Fjord in Central Jutland
Hjarbæk Fjord Camping is located in scenic surroundings in the southern part of the Limfjord in Central Denmark, only approx. 14 km from Viborg and 22 km from Skive. The site is known for its idyllic location, good facilities and many activity options for both children and adults. We offer both quiet places away from main areas – ideal for couples and seniors -, terrace seats with panoramic views over the fjord and family-friendly pitches close to playground and poolAll pitches are different – choose the atmosphere that suits your holiday.

Classic camping - Freedom and space for everyone
Here with us you can camp with caravan, motorhome, tent, Camp-Let – or whatever you want. There is freedom to choose exactly how you want to spend your holiday, with room for everyone. Here, nature, peace and freedom set the stage for a wonderful holiday!
Choose between many different places, all with their own charm – some with good peace and quiet, others near more active areas and those close to the facilities.

One of the biggest advantages of the place is that hilly location with terraces, where a large part of the places have a fantastic panoramic view over Hjarbæk Fjord.
A terrace space is just the thing for you if you want:
- View straight from the caravan or motorhome
- A natural shelter and experience of the landscape around the fjord
- A camping experience where nature becomes part of the stay
Special “King's Square” (pl. 401) is a very popular square with a particularly good view.
Camping for families with children
Hjarbæk Fjord Camping is the perfect holiday destination for families with children – there are plenty of activities and facilities here that are attractive to families:
- 3000 m² playground with swings, climbing frames, trampolines and much more
- Calm and cuddly goats and rabbits
- Heated swimming pool (approx. 27 °C) with slide and sun loungers
- Family and baby changing rooms in the service buildings
- Activity room with table tennis, billiards and more
You can advantageously choose a place directly on the playground (pl. 301, 302, 303, LP1, LP2, LP3), where you can keep an eye on the little ones from the awning!
Practical info and booking
To make holiday planning a little easier, we have gathered a lot of necessary information here so you can go away without worries:
Check-in & Check-out:
- Arrival: From 12:00 on arrival days
- departure: No later than 12:00 on the day of departure, unless otherwise agreed with us
Reception & shop:
Low season (outside summer holidays and public holidays):
- weekdays: 08:00-11:00 & 17:00-18:00
- Friday: 08:00-11:00 & 16:00-18:00
- Saturday: 08:00-18:00
- Sunday: 08:00-16:00
High season (summer holidays and public holidays):
- All days: 08:00-20:00
- Some evenings we have sunny open with longer opening hours
Winter period:
- The campsite has open for camping all year round
- Reception and shop are closed for the winter from the 2nd weekend in September to the 2nd weekend in March
- During this period there is self-check-in at the winter reception
